Gambling Education & Prevention Lead

We have immediate need for an Education & Prevention Lead, working within our Gambling Service. This position is full-time (35 hours per week).

Based – Hybrid / Bristol or South Wales 

Salary – £34,651

We are looking for an individual who has a passion for developing educational packages, providing excellent leadership and reducing gambling harm. 

The role of the Gambling Education & Prevention Lead is to oversee Ara’s new and existing educational programmes designed to raise awareness of gambling related harm and to support Ara’s early intervention and prevention service. The successful candidate will provide line management to the Youth Education and Prevention Team, and lead on delivering a service aimed at promoting greater understanding of gambling harms amongst young people across Wales & the South West of England.

Some of the key tasks for this role include to:

  • Manage a team of Education & Prevention workers targeting young people to raise awareness of gambling related harm across Wales & the South West, supporting Ara’s early intervention and prevention offer. 
  • Providing leadership and a high level of operational competency to ensure team performance and project objectives are achieved.
  • Work with Regional Managers to ensure all of Ara’s educational offers are to the highest standard, meeting with collaborative partners and commissioners to evaluate and review performance.

The ideal candidate will: 

  • Have significant experience of management within relevant services.
  • Have experience of project development and management, and be able to demonstrate success. 
  • Have experience of working in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders, including understanding contractual obligations and being able to performance manage.
