We have an exciting opportunity at Ara within our gambling harm services team, whose focus is supporting those affected by gambling harms. We are looking for an events coordinator to join our community engagement team for 18mths (FTC). Location is the Southwest but commutable distance to our Bristol office. The position is full-time (35hrs per week). This a hybrid role, requiring regularly travel to our Bristol office and location travel to events across the Southwest and Wales (travel expenses paid in line with policy)

Salary – £29,181
As an events coordinator in our Gambling Service team, you will play a vital role in helping to shape and deliver our schedule of events across the South West and Wales throughout 2025 and into 2026. This is a truly exciting role to work closely with the community management team and community leads across our regions.
To succeed in this role you will have a proven track record of planning and executing events or activities, consistently delivering on time and on budget. You will bring your expertise to create impactful events which will be face to face and virtually. You will have strong organisational skills and be able to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities will be:
- Provide daily administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and responding to enquiries.
- Act as the main contact for new enquiries, directing them to the appropriate team members.
- Assist in planning and executing events, managing suppliers, volunteers, and materials.
- Maintain and update our database and generate reports to demonstrate outcomes for each event.
- Design and execute schedule of events and activities
The successful applicant will have:
- Event Organisation: Proven ability to plan and execute events or activities, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Time Management & Prioritisation: Strong organisational skills, effectively managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Attention to Detail: Skilled in producing high-quality reports and materials, with a sharp eye for accuracy in writing and data management.
- Budget Management: Experience in tracking and managing budgets, ensuring financial accuracy across different activities.
- Data Management & Reporting: Proficient in inputting, analysing, and reporting information through various systems, ensuring insightful and accurate data output.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and CRM software, with the ability to navigate and utilise digital tools for effective work management.
- Marketing and advertising experience
